Final Fantasy 4 (FF2 US)

Young Cecil (You, BTW) are ordered by the King of Baron to collect all the Crystals. In the opening sequence you travel to Mysidia and acquire a crystal (by acquire I mean kill a few people and steal it from them.) You then fly back to Baron and hand over the crystal. Cecil questions his king's motives for collecting the crystals and is sent on a mission to Mist to deliver a package. This is where the game begins. Final Fantasy IV is one of my favorite games. With many different characters and the ability to have 5 members in your party at a time, this is a great game.

Cecil's laying the smack down.

Final Fantasy IV
Graphics: 7 Graphics: These are actually pretty good graphics considering it was a first generation SNES game. As long as you aren't a graphics whore they shouldn't bother you too much.
Music/Sound: 8.5 Music/Sound: This game has great music, IMO. Although not quiet as catchy as some of the later Final Fantasies, this game still has great music.
Play Control: 8 Play Control: There is nothing wrong with the play control. Nothing special about it either, though.
Originality: 9 Originality: Face it, this was one of the first RPGs on this side of the Ocean. Very few RPGs are older than this. This is the standard plot for most games now.
Challenge: 6 Challenge: Let me put it this way: The version America received was the version for people who didn't understand RPGs. We received the dumbed down version so it's very easy except for the last boss.
Replay Value:8.5 Replay Value: I love coming back to this game and starting a new one. Every summer I do it and I never get tired. This is a must for every RPGer (if you can find it anywhere still.)
TOTAL RATING: 7.5
