Lunar:SSSC

Join Alex on his quest to become the next Dragonmaster, like his idol Dragonmaster Dyne. Along the way he'll meet many new people, not all who are whom they seem to be. Can you help Alex become the world's greatest Dragonmaster ever and save the world from destruction? Well, can you?

Young Alex and Nall.

Help Guides:
Lunar Walkthrough - by Henry Francis Reinhart A very helpful walkthrough for Lunar.
Another Walkthrough - by Andrew C. Another walkthrough but not as good as the first. But still get this one just for the great list of quotes at the end.

Lunar: The Silver Star Story Complete
Graphics: 8 Graphics: They're sprites, but very good looking sprites. Although you can tell that they're very old school. Plus the anime is great.
Music/Sound: 7 Music/Sound: Lunar has a few songs that are memorable, but some are just terrible. The singing isn't too bad though, IMO. The original Lunar's music is much better.
Play Control: 8 Play Control: The play control is very easy to understand. It's just like most other old school RPGs.
Originality: 6 Originality: It started off original, Alex wants to become Dragonmaster. But a few hours into the game you find out that you have to save the world. Nothing different there.
Challenge: 8.5 Challenge: Lunar has a very unique way of handling bosses. They match Alex's level. So you can't just gain a whole bunch of levels to whoop on some boss. You actually have to think...sort of. Throughout most of the game you use the same strategy. But the bosses are still challenging.
Replay Value:8 Replay Value: Lunar is incredibly short (around 20 hours) so gamers can come back and keep playing it. I just love watching all the anime. Plus the bromides are fun to try and find.
TOTAL RATING: 7.5/8

Lunar has some impressive spells.

You don't want to piss this guy off.

Alex accomplishes his goal and becomes a Dragonmaster.
